***IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM BRENDA OUR FOUNDER***
PLEASE SHARE PUBLIC 23/08/17
We are having to CLOSE our doors (except to emergencies) as we are full and cannot take in anymore till we re home some cats and kittens😿😿 and drastically reduce our vet bill which is heading towards £10K
PLEASE DO NOT JUST TURN UP AT THE RESCUE.
Many people may not be aware but the rescue is part of Brendas home and only open at re homing times.
Brenda is in her 60’s and people are constantly just turning up at all hours with cats and kittens.!!
Brenda took her dog out at 11pm and just happened to look in a cat box that belonged to the rescue in the garden. Brenda found two very young kittens less than a week old in the box with no mum. this was just by chance!! If Brenda had not looked they would have died😿 After looking for a mum to no avail they managed to get Rosa a mum that already has 2 week old kittens to accept them as a surrogate.
We are totally voluntarily run and Brenda was up till after midnight due to someone being irresponsible.

Allerton Cat Rescue is a non-profit sanctuary for felines abandoned, mistreated or otherwise between homes. All are looking for a warm, loving home and the means by which to live comfortably until they find one.

Allerton Cat Rescue was founded over 40 years ago by Brenda Satterley, it was formerly based at the Prune Park Inn, Allerton and is now part of her home on Allerton Road. The rescue is run entirely by volunteers, fundraising and donations, the running costs are approximately £600 for food and litter and a vet bill of around £4000  per month.
